What information we collect

• Due date or child's birthday (homepage personalization) — stored locally on your device via localStorage when you use our personalization widget. This data stays in your browser and is not sent to our servers.
• Due date or child's birthday (newsletter signup) — if you subscribe to our newsletter, you may optionally provide a due date or child's birthday. This is stored on our servers to personalize newsletter content to your parenting stage.
• Email address — if you subscribe to our newsletter, your email address is stored on our servers and may be shared with our newsletter delivery service (currently Beehiiv) to send you weekly parenting content.
• Cookies and analytics — we use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymized usage data including page views, approximate location, and device type. No personally identifiable information is collected through analytics.

How we use your information

• Homepage personalization data (due date or birthday) is stored only in your browser's localStorage. It never leaves your device.
• Newsletter subscriber information (email and optional due date) is stored in our database and used to send you stage-relevant parenting content. You can unsubscribe at any time.
• Analytics data helps us understand how visitors use our site so we can improve it. This data is anonymized and cannot identify you personally.
• We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Third-party services

Beehiiv (newsletter delivery), Vercel (site hosting), Supabase (database hosting), Google Analytics 4 (web analytics), and Amazon Associates and other affiliate networks (product links — these services may use cookies to track purchases made through our links). Each service operates under its own privacy policy.

Children's privacy

Cradlebug is a site for parents, not for children. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Your rights

You can clear your localStorage data at any time through your browser settings. You can unsubscribe from our newsletter using the link in any email. To request deletion of your newsletter subscription data, contact us via our contact page.
